Pomo Support
Need help with Pomo? Email support@godevcode.com. Include your device model, your iOS version, and the app version shown on the Settings screen. Pomo is made by one person in their spare time, so a reply is not guaranteed — but every message is read.
What Pomo does
Pomo is a focus timer. You pick a length — 25 minutes, 50 minutes, or your own — start it, and the app counts down. Each finished session is recorded so you can see your daily and weekly focus time, your streak, and how many sessions you have completed.
The app works completely offline. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and makes no network requests.
Frequently asked questions
Does the timer keep running if I leave the app or lock my phone?
The countdown is based on the wall-clock time the session started, so returning to the app shows the correct remaining time even if it was in the background. Set a notification in Settings if you want to be alerted when a session ends.
iOS decides when a backgrounded app may run and when a notification is delivered, and delivery is not guaranteed — particularly in Low Power Mode or when Focus, Silent Mode, or Do Not Disturb is active. Do not rely on Pomo as your only alert for anything that matters.
I did not hear the sound at the end of a session.
Check that your device is not in Silent Mode, that a Focus mode is not suppressing notifications, and that notifications for Pomo are allowed in Settings → Notifications → Pomo. Sounds and haptics can also be turned off inside Pomo's own Settings screen.
How do I create my own timer length?
Custom durations and additional presets are part of the premium features. Open Presets and add a new one, or choose Custom on the timer screen.
What counts as a completed session?
A session is recorded as complete when the countdown reaches zero with the timer still running. If you cancel partway through, the session is recorded but not counted as completed, so it does not add to your streak.
My streak reset even though I used the app.
A streak counts consecutive days with at least one completed session, using your device's local time zone. Travelling across time zones, or finishing a session just after midnight, can move a session into a different day than you expect.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, then open Settings in Pomo and choose Restore Purchases. Subscriptions are tied to your Apple Account, not to a device.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by the developer. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device and cancel there. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where is my data stored, and how do I delete it?
Everything stays on your device — nothing is uploaded. Deleting the app removes all of it permanently, including your sessions, presets, and settings. There is no backup on the developer's side, so this cannot be undone.
I lost my history after reinstalling.
Because the data is stored only on your device and is never uploaded, deleting the app deletes the history with it. Reinstalling starts from empty. If your device backup included the app, restoring that backup restores the data.
Can I use Pomo on iPad?
Yes. The app runs on iPhone and iPad, and your subscription covers both when they use the same Apple Account.
