LensDay ("the App") counts days against replacement intervals you enter. It is provided for general organizational purposes only.
The App does not provide medical, optometric, or health advice of any kind, and it is not a medical device. It does not know what lenses you wear, does not verify any value you type, and does not suggest, correct, or endorse any wearing schedule. The presets it offers (daily, bi-weekly, monthly) are common replacement intervals, not recommendations for you.
Your eye care professional's instructions always take precedence over anything the App shows. If the schedule your optician or optometrist prescribed differs from what you entered in the App, follow your professional's schedule and correct the App.
Using the App does not protect your eye health, prevent infection or injury, or improve any outcome. It keeps a count. The care is yours and your professional's.
If something is wrong with your eyes, do not wait for the App
Discomfort, redness, pain, discharge, or any change in your vision is a reason to take your lenses out and contact your eye care professional — promptly, and regardless of how many days the countdown still shows.
A number in the App is never a reason to keep wearing a lens that hurts, and never a reason to delay care.
The numbers it shows are your figures
Days remaining are calculated from the start date and interval you entered. They are arithmetic on your input, nothing more. If the date you opened a pair was entered wrong, every number derived from it is wrong too.
Optional lens details (brand, power, and similar fields) are free-text and stepper values stored for your own reference. The App performs no validation of these values and they are not a prescription record.
With Pro, the App also shows wear insights and an over-wear flag — an average, an on-time count, and how many days past your interval a finished pair ran. These are arithmetic over the dates you recorded, not a clinical finding. A cycle marked "+3" reports that the arithmetic came out three days over the number you set; it is not a judgement about your eyes. Whether any amount of wear was safe for you is a question for your eye care professional, not for the App.
Reorder summaries are your own notes, copied
The reorder summary copies the lens details you typed — brand, powers, and similar values — as plain text you can paste into an order. The App checks them against nothing. Before you order, read them against the box in front of you or your current prescription: whatever was wrong in the App will be wrong in the order.
Do not rely on it as your only reminder
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. The operating system decides whether and when they are delivered. Alerts may be delayed, silenced, or not delivered at all — for example in Low Power Mode, when a Focus mode, Silent Mode, or Do Not Disturb is active, when notifications are denied, or if the device is off or out of battery.
If keeping to a schedule matters to you, do not make the App your only prompt.
Your data lives on your device
Everything you enter is stored on your own devices and nowhere else. There is no server copy. If you delete the App without a device backup, its data is gone. See the Privacy Policy for details.
